Present Participle - Gerundio

		compr	ar		beb	er		viv	ir
		compr	ando		beb	iendo		viv	iendo

Examples:

Se fue llorando
He went away crying

Nos vamos haciendo viejos
We’re getting old

In Spanish the present continuous is formed by joining the verb estar and the present participle of the verb. Eg:

Angel y Luisa están bailando
Angel and Luisa are dancing

Monica está bebiendo una cerveza
Monica is drinking a beer

Está lloviendo
It's raining

Sofia estaba durmiendo cuando sonó el despertador
Sofia was sleeping when the alarm clock went off
