: "With every (new) language you get an extra life" That is what an older man once told me, when he heard me teaching Dutch - volunteerly - in the library. He spoke 8 languages himself. As a journalist for me my native language "Nederlands" is what the hammer is for the carpenter. But thanks to all my intercultural contacts at least it fééls that my life is broader. I hope to share precious moments with other language lovers, especially in Spanish, French, Russian or (basic!) Japanese.
