: Since my first visit to Italy over 10 years ago, I have been dipping in and out of learning Italian using apps mostly. 3 years ago, I decided to attend lessons at Leicester University and I am now in my third year. The lessons have made a great difference and I am now more confident but still have a long way to go and I hope the conversations I will have here will help make me a more fluent Italian speaker. I would love to be able to hold an extended conversation with a native Italian speaker

: I am passionate about learning and I love Italy. My husband was born in England but his parents were Italian. His father was from Sicily and his mother was from Frosinone. I am working at Intermediate level and want to practise conversation. I am a retired teacher of secondary students and now I work part time as a counsellor. I love nature, food, reading, music, history and culture. I want to extend my vocabulary and spoken language, and to learn more about Italian culture.

Description: Hello! My name is Tony and I’m 64 years old. I was born in England but my parents were both Italian (father was Sicilian, mother from Cassino). I grew up hearing Italian everyday, but as a child, I refused to speak anything but English; what a fool! I regret that now and so want to rekindle my Italian language. I have been taking lessons for a couple of years, and now feel ready to engage in some real conversation with a native Italian speaker. I look forward to hearing from you.

: I am learning Italian for fun and because I think it is a beautiful language. It is difficult to learn some things and every now and then, I need to be able to ask an Italian speaker what is the correct way to say something. This site appears perfect for this.
