Description: I am a retired lawyer and have been studying Spanish for 10 years. I have been to various immersion programs in Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica and Columbia. I have several tutors from Mexico and Columbia. I sponsored, with another person, a meet up group before Covid 19 and the core group still meets monthly. Despite a lot of time and effort I don't think my Spanish is very good. Although I am getting tired of Zoom meetings they work very well.

: I learned French in Switzerland when I was 13 years old. After that I forgot everything. I recently sold my business and retired so I finally have time to get better at speaking French. J’ai voyagé beaucoup en France – les Alpes, La Loire, Bordeaux, et Bourgogne. En 2008 j’ai loué un apartment à Aix-en-Provence pour 3 mois. Y avait un gentil prof de psychologie enfantine auprès de Yale dont des collègues en Italie lui devaient des faveurs dont j'ai profité. Mais jamais avais-je rien de pareil en France. DEUTSCH war aber meine erste Fremdsprache. Mit 14 Jahren konnte ich ein paar Wochen bei einer Familie in Tutzing am Starnbergersee verbringen. Bis Ende des Urlaubs habe ich mich fest entschlossen: eines Tages spreche ich deutsch!
