- Hey, I am a beginner at Japanese but love Japanese movies, food and the culture and really want to become more proficient in my Japanese language learning. I thought a good way to do this would be to join a language exchange and speak to someone who is a Japanese native speaker. - Hey, I'm Trevor. Born and raised in Southern Ontario Canada. I speak English quite well. It has been the only language I have spoken my entire life. I have spent a serious amount of time listening to audio to learn German. I have spent very little time speaking German to anyone except myself out loud and the same goes for writing in German. I would like to learn to speak German well, and perhaps eventually fluently. I would someday like to speak Swiss German and Mandarin too.
