: I live in Washington state, but I lived in France for a year when I was 13, many years ago. While I have never been fluent, I understand French conversation fairly well, when it is slow enough and they are speaking to me, but movies are generally too hard. I just returned from 3 weeks in Marseille to improve French, and while it improved some, I still have a long way to go.
