- I first went to Japan in the US Navy, later I went to college for Japanese literature. Then I lived in Japan again and worked. I lived in Japan for a total of 6 years. I am currently studying for the level N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), which I will take in December of this year (2026). I would like to start doing trade with Japan in the future. I would like to improve my conversation ability, so would like to do language exchange here.

- My daughter married a man from Lausanne, Switzerland. He and his family speak French so I want to be able to have conversations with them in French. I have been to Paris twice. I have practiced French in Duolingo for one year now. I have learned a lot of words and grammar. I can read and listen better but can not converse.
